Hot Harvest Nights, Farmer Hot Harvest Nights - Farmer's Market - Thursday Nights

When: Every Thursday night, May 7th through September 10th
From: 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Where: 700 Block of Laurel Street. Downtown San Carlos.

Sponsored by the City of San Carlos and the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce, A+ Japanese Auto Repair and Optimal Fitness Center, Hot Harvest Nights features certified produce and specialty foods, musical entertainment and walk-away food.  Stores throughout San Carlos' acclaimed downtown will be open for your exploration and enjoyment.  Bring the entire family to enjoy this popular annual event.

On Thursday, July 2nd, the San Carlos Community Development Department will have a booth at Hot Harvest Nights.  Be sure to stop by and chat.

County Jail Cell County Replacement Jail Planning Workshops - July 21st and July 22nd
The County Sheriff will be holding two public meetings on July 21st and 22nd from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm to discuss the location of a Replacement Jail.  This jail will house male and female inmates and studies indicate that the facility could be 5 stories in size and 90 feet or more in height.

Two of the 7 potential jail sites are in San Carlos: 345 Shoreway Road (#4) and 767 Industrial Road (#7).

San Carlos General Plan Logo General Plan 2030 - Public Review Draft - Now Available on the Web
In California, General Plans serve as the "Constitution" for all future development in cities. The General Plan provides the fundamental basis for the City's land use and development policy, and represents the basic community values, ideals and aspirations to govern a shared environment over the life of the General Plan.

The General Plan addresses all aspects of development including land use, environmental management and sustainability, traffic and circulation, housing, parks and recreation, and other topics. The General Plan’s policies are implemented through the Municipal Code, which includes the Zoning Code, Building and Construction Code, Subdivision Ordinance and other City regulations.

Grand Boulevard Initiative Map Grand Boulevard Initiative: Improving El Camino Real
The Grand Boulevard Initiative (GBI) is a collaboration of 19 cities, the counties of San Mateo and Santa Clara, local and regional agencies, private business, labor and environmental organizations united to improve the performance, safety and aesthetics of El Camino Real (State Highway 82) on the Peninsula from Daly City to downtown San Jose.
