KPIX CBS-5 Video: Budget May Force San Carlos To Close 5 Parks & Youth Center
Len Ramirez from KPIX, CBS, Channel 5 TV reports that the City of San Carlos Parks and Recreation Department is proposing the closure of 5 parks as well as the closure of the San Carlos Youth Center for 10 months each year. The proposed moves will help the City address a $3.6 Million General Fund Budget deficit.
In this video, Ramirez interviews Parks and Recreation Director Doug Long and several San Carlos residents about their views on the proposal heading to the Parks and Recreation Commission on February 3rd and then to the full City Council in late March or early April.
Vendor responses to the RFP are due by February 12, 2010 with a potential implementation date in April 2010. Click on the link above for full details and requirements to respond to the RFP procurement by interested companies.
