The Friends of SCSC enable you to express your support and recognition of the value of the Adult Community Center in the San Carlos community. It is a non-profit 501c(3) corporation designed to receive and administer donations, grants and bequests to support the Center.

The San Carlos community has demonstrated over the years that it cares for all its' diverse groups, and particularly the ederly. In 1982 the city built the Adult Community Center and since then has continued a series of programs designed to add to the quality of life of our seniors.

Funding limitations can materially impact the improvement and expansion of services.

The community, however, recognized the need for helping the Center. Scores of volunteers from throughout the city, including The Friends, have donated countless hours each year to sustain existing services and add others.

The Center has played a positive role in the lives of many San Carlos seniors. Many seniors have acknowledged this by making voluntary donations, bequests, and including the Adult Community Centerin their Estate Plans as a way of remembering its impact on their lives and the lives of others.

A Tax-Exempt, Non Profit Organization

The Friends of SCSC is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization established to accept finacial gifts for the Center. Funds received are carefully used for the development and improvement of programs and services which exceed budgetary constraints of the City.
