What Does the Caring Cupboard Offer?
The Caring Cupboard is a service which provides free groceries to low income San Carlos seniors, if:
- You are a San Carlos resident
- You are over 55 years of age
- Your total annual income from all sources is less than:
$1,325 a month/single
$1,790 a month/couple
Then the Caring Cupboard opens its doors.
When: The 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month between 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Where: The kitchen door of the San Carlos Adult Community Center

How Do I Sign Up?
To become a participant in the Caring Cupboard program please register at the Information and Referral Office at the San Carlos Adult Community Center.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
9:30 am - 11:30 am
Your registration is free and strictly confidential.
How is the Caring Cupboard Funded?
- This project is funded and sponsored through equal efforts by the Kiwanis, Lions and Rotary clubs of San Carlos who have joined together as the San Carlos Service Clubs for Seniors.
- Also Co-sponsored by the City of San Carlos Parks and Recreation Department, Adult Community Center
- The Caring Cupboard distributes almost $30,000 worth of food each year.
- Local volunteers, who also are seniors, contribute hundreds of hours each month to make the program a success.
