Program Description

The Place for Recreation…Resources…Relationships. The San Carlos Adult Community Center is established as a day use recreation center for community members, ages 50 and over. The Center offers a variety of programs and services designed to promote health and wellness, enhance independence, promote lifelong learning and quality of life as well as strengthen community image and sense of place for senior community members.

Adult Community Center Hours

Open Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Greet people who come into the Lounge
• Provide tours of the the Center if needed
• Set-up, clean up and maintain coffee and snack area
• Monitor TV and remote control use
• Oversee donation jar
• Become knowledgeable of programs and services available at the Center
• Attend quarterly volunteer meetings as scheduled

• Friendly, pleasant disposition
• Patience
• Ability to perform with a high standard of Customer Service

Time Commitment

• One 3 to 4 hour shift, one day per week

Training Provided

• Job orientation will be provided by Center staff
• Volunteer meetings held at least once each year
