Caring Cupboard Application

About the Caring Cupboard Program 

Caring Cupboard is a free and confidential food support program for San Carlos residents, run by San Carlos Service Club for Seniors in partnership with the Adult Community Center. Groceries are provided every Tuesday at the Adult Community Center. 

Who can apply? 
Caring Cupboard is open to all San Carlos residents who meet the eligibility requirements.

How to apply: 
1. Fill out the application below (Applicants will be notified within one week if they have been accepted into the program).
2. Show proof of residency in San Carlos (utility bill or identification card). 
3. Verification of enrollment in one of the following programs:
  1. Proof of qualifying for utility low-income program (i.e., PG&E CARE or FERA)
  2. Proof of qualifying for Section 8
  3. Proof of child on the San Carlos School District (or San Carlos-based school) Free and Reduced Lunch Program
  4. If unemployed, a copy of unemployment verification
  5. Proof that your total monthly income from all sources does not exceed the amounts below: 
    Household of 1  must not exceed $3,341 (monthly)
    Household of 2 must not exceed $4,519 (monthly)
    Household of 3 must not exceed $5,697 (monthly)
    Household of 4 must not exceed $6,875 (monthly)
    Household of 5 must not exceed $8,053 (monthly)
    Household of 6 must not exceed $9,231 (monthly)
Additional Information: 

Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Submitting the application does not confirm Program enrollment or guarantee groceries.
Applicant is required to update information if changes occur in financial and/or family status.
