About the Plan

We want to build a transportation system that provides more options to walk and bike, whether it's to go to school, commute to work, access the regional trail system, or run everyday errands. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan identifies and prioritizes new bikeways, walkways, trails, and pedestrian enhancements throughout San Carlos.  

Safe Routes to School

School walk audits were completed from November 2021 to January 2022 for six school sites. Significant observations were made, culminating in a set of improvement recommendations and a suggested route to school map for every site.
