SAN CARLOS, CA, December 11, 2013 – Beginning January 2, 2014, the Planning & Building Division offices and service counter will be temporarily relocated to the second floor of the San Carlos Library located at 610 Elm Street to allow for a remodel of portions of the first floor of City Hall.

At the City Council meeting on Monday night, Council approved the contract with Joseph Cumiskey Construction Company to: upgrade safety features, including fire alarm and suppression systems; install energy efficient lighting; and provide Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements for a more accessible public counter area. 

During the remodel, the Planning & Building Division service counter hours will remain from 9:00 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.  The Planning & Building Division expects to be back in operation at City Hall by May 2014 and apologizes for any inconvenience during this transition.
