General Fund Revenue Sources
Revenues for the City are divided into eight categories: Property Taxes, Sales Taxes, TOT, Charges for Services, License & Permits, Business Registration, Franchise Tax, Other. Revenues generated in the City are responsible for the maintenance of city services such as police, fire, parks, infrastructure, library and other services. These services are critical to the quality of life that residents and businesses enjoy. General fund revenues from business development and economic development directly impact the vitality of the City as a whole. That is why the City of San Carlos is committed to economic development activity that strengthens the overall fiscal stability of the City.
