Biography Ron has been in the insurance industry for 30 years and owns Collins Insurance in Redwood City. Prior to insurance, Ron was a public school teacher and administrator in Half Moon Bay for seven years. He holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. Ron served in the past as a member of the City’s Economic Development Advisory Commission and Planning Commission. He and his wife, Gayle, have lived in San Carlos most of their lives and raised their two children here. Ron enjoys swimming and golfing in his spare time.
