San Carlos Police Media Bulletin
In order to provide more consistent content and direct access to our crime data, the Sheriff’s Office will begin posting all press logs to the Sheriff’s Office website effective January 9, 2017. This means that the logs will no longer be emailed out or posted to City webpages.
If you would like to receive a daily email of Sheriff’s Office cases including Part I Crimes (homicide, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny, vehicle theft, and arson), traffic collisions, public disturbances, and vandalisms you can go to the Sheriff’s Office Crime Data website at www.smcsheriff.org, click on the “Crime Data” button and then the “Sign up for Alerts” link. You can also view recent arrests and view the listed crimes on a map.
To view the daily press logs, you can go to the Sheriff’s Office Crime Data website at www.smcsheriff.org, click on the “Press Room” button and then the “Press Logs” link. There are three logs which include:
North County Press Log: All unincorporated areas in the Northern section of San Mateo County as well as the City of Millbrae.
Coast Press Log: All unincorporated areas along the San Mateo County coast as well as the City of Half Moon Bay.
Headquarters Press Log: All other unincorporated areas in San Mateo County, as well as the Towns of Woodside & Portola Valley, and the City of San Carlos.
Please note that in order to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on our website, data is only included when it’s been reviewed and approved.
Please feel free to contact Cheryl Martin (650) 726-8288 or Jenna McAlpin (650) 363-4527 with any questions.
