Program Description:
The ACC has a computer lab (Macintosh) with DSL internet access available for community use.

The Adult Community Center is a day use recreation center for community members, ages 50 and over. The Adult Community Center offers a variety of programs and services designed to promote health and wellness, enhance independence, promote lifelong learning and quality of life as well as strengthen community image and sense of place for older adults.

Adult Community Center Hours:
o Open Monday to Fridays, 9 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities:
o Room Host- oversee use of computers
o Troubleshoot logging on and off computers
o Assist users with web applications
o Assist users with accessing internet email
o Assist users with Apple Computer Systems

Qualifications:
o Basic knowledge of operating an Apple with Mac OS X
o Basic knowledge of web surfing, browsing and email
o Ability to teach and explain basic computing and web browsing
o Patience working with novice computer users
o Customer Service Oriented

Time Commitment:
o Flexible Hours – Schedule weekly or monthly
o Approximately 2 hours per week or 4 hours per month

Training Provided:
o Job orientation will be provided by Center staff
