Program Description:
The ACC Lunch Program is on Mondays from 11:15 to 12:30. The service is available to the community. The benefits of the program include socialization and affordable quality meals.

The Adult Community Center is a day use recreation center for community members, ages 50 and over. The Adult Community Center offers a variety of programs and services designed to promote health and wellness, enhance independence, promote lifelong learning and quality of life as well as strengthen community image and sense of place for older adults.

Adult Community Center Hours:
o Open Monday to Fridays, 9 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities:
o Assist with production of a lunch program that serves 50-100 older adults
o Assist with food preparation, making sandwiches, soups and salads
o Help serve on cafeteria line
o Assist with Pots/Pans; Assist with Table Setting
o Set-up and clean-up pre and post lunch meal tasks
o Attend volunteer meetings as scheduled

Qualifications:
o Possess good attitude
o Be a team player
o Be willing to be trained in food procedures

Time Commitment:
o One 3- to 6- hour shift per week; minimum 6-month commitment
o Shifts available: Mondays starting at 7:30; or 2nd Friday of the month

Training Provided:
o Kitchen Orientation
o Safety Orientation on Food Preparation
