The Public Works Department is responsible for the design, construction, contract administration, permitting and overall maintenance and operation of the City's infrastructures.  Its organization is comprised of three areas:

• Administration
• Engineering-Permits and Construction
• Maintenance-Wastewater Collection, Streets, Stormwater and Fleet

Department personnel maintain the storm drain, sewer collection pipes, street pavement, traffic signals and signing and all City vehicles. Public Works also handles the City's civil engineering services including review, plan check and construction inspection of all subdivisions, review and approval of grading plans and inspections, plan check and construction inspection of all private and utility work in the public right of way and review of tree removal requests and permits.

When the Public Works Department has a major project or makes a major equipment purchase, a bid notice is issued by the City Clerk and a formal bid process is conducted.  Please review the link below for more information.
