Week of the Family Schedule for January 22-31, 2009

Since its inception in 1925, San Carlos has been a friendly, family-oriented community.From January 22^nd – January 31^st, 2009 San Carlos will celebrate its 10^thannual Week of the Family.Sponsored by the City of San Carlos, the Steering Committee consists of representatives from the City of San Carlos, local schools, churches and community groups.

Hundreds of families will take part in a number of free activities to celebrate and strengthen the values of our family-centered community. San Carlos families take many forms. Everyone in our community is encouraged to participate.

The goals of the Week of the Family are to:

• Strengthen family relationships
• Provide families in our community the tools that help families function
• Promote family life
• Educate families on the roles and responsibilities that help families function
• Honor and pay tribute to families
• Encourage families serving families
• Have lots of fun
