| |  Presentations & Information for the GPAC and Subcommittee'sPresentation and Discussion made by DC&E and ERA for GPAC Meeting #6 on April 16, 2008: - Part 1: The City's consultants for the General Plan Update, DC&E (Design, Community & Environment) made a presentation showing the draft alternatives, modified based on the discussion at GPAC Meeting #5 (March 19 and March 26, 2008). It then shows a map of Potential New Parks and Open Space, with the intent of identifying potential future parks without assigning a land use designation to them. This portion also includes a presentation on the Buildout Methodology and Buildout Analysis Results.
- Part 2: William (Bill) Lee, from ERA (Economic Research Associates), has been involved in market research work in San Carlos since 1988. This presentation is based on the Real Estate Market Study that ERA did for the City in September 2006, on the Retail, Office/R&D, and Hotel markets in San Carlos. In this powerpoint, Bill also points out four strategies that he recommends the City to undertake for economic development.
- Part 3: DC&E continued a facilitated discussion of the modified draft alternatives for each study area, based on the discussion at GPAC Meeting #5. This part of the presentation shows the modified alternatives at the level of each Study Area.
Planning for Change in a Changing World: Ten Strategies for Successful General Plan Reviews and Housing Element Update - This document was released jointly in July 2008 by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Greenbelt Alliance, and the Santa Clara County Housing Action Coalition. This document is available at the ABAG Bay Area Housing Element Tool Kit website.
