Vacant Seat on the Planning Commission
The Planning Commission now has one (1) vacant seat due to the expired term of one commissioner. If you are a resident of the City of San Carlos and interested in serving on the City’s Planning Commission, applications are being accepted at this time.
Meeting Schedule and Role
The Planning Commission meets the first and third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Commission duties may include making recommendations on the City’s General Plan for the future development; review provisions of such plan and make a report of its findings and recommendations to the City Council; initiate zoning code (Title 18) reviews of the San Carlos Municipal Code and report findings; receive and act upon applications authorized and specified in Title 18 of this Code; hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by any City official in the interpretation and enforcement of Title 18 of the Municipal Code.

Deadline for receipt of applications in the City Clerk’s Office is Monday, July 6, 2009 at 5 p.m. Interviews have tentatively been scheduled with the City Council for Monday, July 13, 2009 at 6 p.m.
