Fee Assistance Program

What is the Fee Assistance Program?  

The  Fee Assistance Program, sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Foundation of San Carlos, is available to help San Carlos residents participate in San Carlos Parks & Recreation Department classes and programs.

Who is Eligible?

Exclusively for San Carlos residents only and they will have to meet income guidelines and will have to provide income documentations.

What are the income guidelines and how would I know if I qualify or be deemed eligible?

The income guidelines is based on San Mateo County Department of Housing Income Limits for the year 2010
Individual:  not to exceed $ 37,650/year 
Family of 2:  not to exceed $ 43,000/year 
Family of 3:  not to exceed $ 48,400/year 
Family of 4:  not to exceed $ 53,750/year 
Family of 5:  not to exceed $ 58,050/year 

What are the income documentations required?

·         Residency verification
        
1.     California Drivers License
        
2.     Utility Bill 
            
a.     PG&E; or
            
b.     Phone
·         W-2 (copy)

What is the procedure to apply for the Fee Assistance Program?

By following the income guidelines and ensuring that your income does not exceed the income guidelines limits as noted above, you may proceed with the application process.  Requests must be made in writing and submitted with proper income documentations.  Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Where do I  submit the completed application?

You may submit the application along with the verification documents via the following:
·         By Mail – City of San Carlos, Parks & Recreation, Attention:  Carol Go, 600 Elm Street, San Carlos, CA  94070
·         In-person – go to City Hall at 600 Elm Street, 2nd Floor, Parks & Recreation offices
