The City of San Carlos is a participant in the Wireless Silicon Valley Project co-sponsored by SAMCAT, Joint Venture: Silicon Valley and Smart Valley. San Carlos Assistant City Manager Brian Moura is serving as co-chairman of the project.
Wireless Silicon Valley Project involves development of a high-speed wireless broadband network that will cover 41 cities, counties and entities in Silicon Valley. The Wireless Silicon Valley Project initiative envisions a broadband canopy covering a 1,500 square mile area stretching from Newark in the East Bay, south to Gilroy, over the hill to Santa Cruz, and up the Peninsula to Daly City.
