Measure 'G' Parcel Tax Forms - 2008-09

The City of San Carlos wishes to provide this annual reminder to San Carlos property owners. Measure "G", passed by voters in 1999, imposes a parcel tax of $6 per parcel, per year on all taxable properties in San Carlos, commencing with the fiscal year 2000-2001. The tax is limited to ten years, with the funds dedicated to long-term capital improvement of parks and recreational park facilities.

The $6 per parcel tax will appear on every property tax bill annually, unless one of the following steps is taken:

  • You wish to prepay for the years in advance. Electing to pre-pay this tax will remove it from future property tax bills.
  • You previously prepaid for the entire 10-year period.
  • You are a senior citizen age 65 or older (as of July 1, 2008) and wish to be exempted from the tax. Seniors may request annual exemption for owner occupied residences.

For your convenience, we have provided a copy of the Prepayment Option Form and the Senior Exemption Request Form in Adobee Acrobat format as part of our Forms on the Web program. (You will need to download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software to view and print the Finance Department forms posted in Acrobat Format.)

Simply click on the links below, save the appropriate form to your computer's hard disk, print and complete the form and return it to the Finance Department.

These forms are also available upon request from: the Finance Department at City Hall, Adult Community Center, and Burton Park.
