Council/RDA Meeting Date: March 27, 2006
Item Title: Supplemental Materials - Update on and Discussion of City Council Action to Continue Fire Services Provision from South County Fire Authority and to extend the termination date for South County Fire Authority Joint Powers Agreement, to January 1, 2007.
Background
Last Wednesday, Staff sent out a Council Report on the meetings that are being held by the South County Fire Board regarding the continuation of South County Fire Authority. Later that day, the Fire Board held a meeting to further discuss the matter. At that Fire Board meeting, several key documents were handed out and discussed.
Staff has attached copies of two of these documents (Timeline of Events and 10 Year Budget Projection) as well an updated version of the third one (Draft Letter of Agreement) so that the City Council has a more up-to-the minute set of documents to work from on this topic for Monday night’s City Council Meeting. As before, both Staff and the San Carlos representatives to the South County Fire Authority Board will be able to discuss and answer your questions about these documents at that Council meeting.
