Healthy Cities - Tutoring Volunteers Needed

Ask Yourself....

  • Do you like children? City Tutor
  • Can you spare one hour a week ?
  • Would you like to make a difference in the life of a child?

If so, then please consider becoming a volunteer tutor with the San Carlos Healthy Cities Tutoring Program. Last year volunteer tutors worked with 225 students in seven San Carlos schools and gave them the important one-on-one help that can make such a difference in a child's success.

Volunteers are needed again this year. Tutors meet with their student once a week, for approximately 45 minutes and provide one-on-one support. Volunteers receive instruction on how to tutor before they are matched with a child and the child's teacher will give you guidance and instruction as well.

Tutoring times are flexible and there are students are in need of tutoring all year long, so please join us!  If you would like more information, please call Donna Becht, Healthy Cities Program Coordinator at (650) 508-7333 or e-mail at dbecht@sancarlos.k12.ca.us.

Thank you!
