Athletic Fields Issue - Community Update – April 19, 2006

City Council Review of Athletic Playing Fields - Continues on May 8th
The Monday, April 10th meeting of the City Council was dedicated to the topic of the Athletic Fields Report from the Parks and Recreation Director and the Citizens Athletic Fields Committee.

The City Council has continued this matter to their regularly scheduled meeting on May 8th to be held at the YouthCenter. At that time, the City Council will take additional testimony from the public and then deliberate on the recommendations of the Citizens Athletic Fields Committee, the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Parks and Recreation Director.

Location:	Youth Center, 1001 Chestnut Street, San Carlos*
Parking:	Street parking around Burton Park. Central Middle School parking lot located at Arroyo and Woodland Avenues. The entrance is at Arroyo Avenue.

*Please Note: In order to accommodate the crowd expected to attend this meeting, the location has been moved from City Hall Council Chambers to the Youth Center Gym. Space will still be limited and the fire code will be enforced.

The City Council meeting will be taped, but will not be aired live, as we do not have the technology in place at the YouthCenter to do so. The meeting will be televised in the days following the meeting on San Carlos TV, Cable Channel 27 and will be available in the Video Presentations section of the City's website as well.
