Synthetic Turf Update - October 21, 2004

Evaluation of Athletic Field Use Needs Update

The San Carlos City Council at their October 25, 2004 meeting will review a recommendation on the creation and structure of an expanded Community Committee for Evaluation of Athletic Field Use Needs and Possible Solutions. The City Council will also review a recommendation to Not Conduct a Community-Wide Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment and Develop Strategies to Achieve Identified Needs at this time, due to cost and the current economic environment. The meeting will be in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. This is the same topic discussed by the Parks and Recreation Commission on October 6, 2004. Interested members of the public are invited to attend and participate in this process.

A hard copy of each recommendation is available for review (as part of the City Council packet for the October 25 meeting) beginning Friday afternoon, October 22 at the Library or in City Hall at the City Clerk and Parks and Recreation Offices.
