What types of rental facilities are available through the city?
The San Carlos Parks and Recreation Department has two facilities that can be rented for meetings, parties, weddings, and other functions.

  • The Kiwanis Building, located at Burton Park, 1017 Cedar St., offers two large multi-use rooms with a central lobby, a kitchen, and patio areas. The facility can accommodate up to 100 persons.
  • The San Carlos Senior Center, located at 601 Chestnut St., has rooms available for meetings, seminars, banquets, receptions, and parties. The largest room in the facility can accommodate 175 guests for dinner or 350 guests for an assembly.

For rental information on the Kiwanis Building, call (650) 802-4382. Call (650) 802-4116 for rental information on the Adult Community Center. You may use a credit card to pay for facility rentals.

The city also makes available the two community rooms on the second floor of the San Carlos library, 610 Elm St., next to City Hall. These rooms may be used for San Carlos community-based civic, educational, cultural and non-profit groups, organizations or agencies. The rooms are not available for political meetings, social purposes, or for the benefit of private individuals or commercial concerns. The seating capacity for Room A is 125 and Room B is 75. The two rooms may be combined to accommodate a total of 199 persons. Contact City Hall at (650) 802-4100 during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).
