The 14 developed parks and their amenities are listed below. Chilton Property is open space land (not listed).

Eaton Park, West end of Eaton Avenue 8. Heather Park, 2700 block of Melendy Drive (west side of Heather School) 9. Highlands Park, Melendy Drive at Aberdeen Drive 10. | | | | Where may I barbecue in San Carlos parks?Post-type, grill barbecues are located at the San Carlos parks listed below. You may reserve picnic tables and barbecues on weekends at Arguello, Burton, Laureola parks, and Les Mundel Grove.
- Arguello Park, Wellington Drive off Phelps Road
- Burton Park, between Cedar Street and Chestnut Street off Arroyo Avenue
- Laureola Park between Old County Road and Bayport Court, with an entrance on Old County Road
- Les Mundel Grove, directly behind the San Carlos Youth Center, on Woodland Avenue between Brittan Avenue and Bay tree Road
- Cedar Street Neighborhood Park, 100 block of Cedar Street
- Hillcrest Circle Park, Hillcrest and Arundel roads
- San Carlos Avenue Neighborhood Park, 2400 block of San Carlos Avenue.
Barbecues are available first come, first serve during non-permitted hours. Portable barbecues pose a safety risk and are NOT permitted in the parks.
| | | | May I reserve a picnic area in a park?San Carlos residents or businesses located in San Carlos may make advance reservations for picnic tables at Burton and Les Mundel Grove in Burton Park, and Arguello and Laureola parks. Permit fees apply. For information on available picnic areas call Burton Park, Kiwanis Building, at (650) 802-4382.
| | | | Does San Carlos have a dog park?Yes, the Heather Dog Run is an open, scenic, off-leash dog exercise area located at Heather Park off Melendy Drive. The access is through the Heather School Parking lot. This is the only park in San Carlos that allows dogs off leash. You and your dog may use any San Carlos park as long as your dog is leashed, under control, licensed, and fecal matter is picked up. "Pooper scooper” dispensers are available at all park sites.
| | | | There is a hazard in a public park. Where do I report it?Call the Parks and Recreation General Services Division office at (650) 802-4140. If it is after hours, call the Public Works Department Emergency Service number at (650) 593-8013. You may bring a specific issue or situation to the city's attention by visiting the complaint page on the city's website.
| | | | May I smoke in the Parks?No. As of January 1, 2003, Assembly Bill 1867 - the Smoke Free Playgrounds & Tot Lot Law went into effect. This law prohibits the smoking or disposal of tobacco products within 25 feet of all playgrounds or tot lot sandbox areas.
Any person who violates AB1867 is guilty of an infraction of Health & Safety Code 104495 and shall be fined $250 for each violation.
