How is my sewer service charge calculated?

Single family residences are charged a flat yearly fee.  Commercial, industrial and institutional users are charged a flat rate or a fee based on water consumption, whichever is greater.  Both are based on the costs of operation, maintenance and scheduled replacement of the collection system and treatment plant costs.
