They will assess the hazard and take appropriate action. If this debris is causing an immediate danger to vehicle or pedestrian traffic, contact the Police Department at (650) 802-4277.

A dead or injured animal is in the street. Who do I call about it?Call the Humane Society at (650) 340-8200. Never approach an injured animal.

Whom do I call about a downed power line?Treat any downed power line as if it is "live." Do not touch or try to move any wires. Keep all children and animals away from the lines. Report the situation immediately to PG&E at 800-743-5000 and call 911 to have trained emergency personnel safely contain the area.

How do I get it fixed?The Public Works Department has a five-year plan for repairing streets in the city, based on how the "PCI" (Pavement Condition Index) of your street compares to other streets in the city. To find out where your street falls on the list or to see if it is not on the current five-year plan for repair, call the Public Works Department at (650) 802-4203. If there are dangerous holes or other hazards on the street, be sure to report those separately at (650) 802-4140.
