The San Carlos Train Station is located on the east side of El Camino Real at San Carlos Avenue.

Commuter service in San Carlos is provided by Caltrain, and it extends from 4th and King streets in San Francisco south to San Jose. The entire one-way trip takes about 90 minutes. There are four train lines during the week that go as far south as Gilroy. The trip from San Carlos to San Francisco takes about 40 minutes. In San Carlos, the northbound and southbound trains stop two or three times per hour during weekday peak periods and approximately once per hour during non-peak weekday and weekend periods. Call Caltrain at 1-800-660-4287 for further information, or visit them on the web at www.caltrain.com. Purchase tickets at each station via Ticket Vending Machines (TVM’s) using cash or Visa. You may purchase tickets from the conductor on the train, but there is a surcharge for passengers not using the TVM’ for their ticket purchases.
