Our City Council consists of five Council Members. The appointment of the Mayor and Vice Mayor changes each year in December and is decided by a vote of the Council.

City Council Meetings
City Council's Regular Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 7 p.m.  View the meeting agenda for ways to observe the meeting and instructions on how to make public comments. 

Agenda Materials
City Council's Regular Meeting agenda and supporting materials may be viewed online or at the City Clerk's office at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. For special meetings (meetings not held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 7pm), the agenda will be published at least 24 hours before the meeting.

Public Notices

The Public Notices page houses upcoming official Public Notices required to be legally published in an adjudicated newspaper of general circulation. All Public Hearing Notices will be published at least 10 days prior to the meeting at which it’ll be heard.

Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy
The City of San Carlos has adopted a Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy to promote and maintain the highest standards of personal and professional conduct in the City’s government. All elected and appointed officials of the City subscribe to this Policy.

Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VI
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VI, and as outlined in the City's Reasonable Accommodations Policy, if you need special assistance or translation services to participate in a City Council meeting, please contact the City Clerk’s Office. Notification 48 hours in advance of the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to the meeting.
