Opening Doors In Our Community Program
The Housing Endowment and Regional Trust of San Mateo County (HEART) and Meriwest Credit Union are pleased to announce a new downpayment assistance loan program for families in our city who would like to buy a first home or move closer to transit in San Mateo County. The program has been re-designed for today's market conditions and offers a first mortgage through Meriwest paired with a second loan from HEART offering up to $75K in downpayment assistance.
This is a safe, secure and sensible loan package for families who meet the following criteria:
- Household maximum income of $150,000
- Maximum home purchase price of $521,250
- Minimum 5% downpayment
- Work in San Mateo County, or live in a HEART member city
- First-time buyer or a "move-closer" buyer
- FICO score of 680 or better
