| |  DepartmentsCommunity Meeting - High Speed Rail - April 22, 2010 You Are Invited.....San Carlos residents and businesses are invited to a Community Meeting on the proposed High Speed Rail project.
The meeting will help answer your questions about how the High Speed Rail project could affect the City of San Carlos. It will also provide you with an opportunity to see the different approaches to the system construction that are being considered at the request of the City of San Carlos. The meeting will also enable you to provide input on the proposed project and the design alternatives that are being considered and potential project impacts.
Meeting Date and Time
The meeting date and time are:
Thursday, April 22, 2010 - 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Library Conference Room, 2nd Floor
San Carlos Library
610 Elm Street, San Carlos
- An informal Open House will be held from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm before the meeting begins
- The presentation on the High Speed Rail project & its routing in San Carlos starts at 7:00 pm
- Questions and comments may be submitted on cards during the presentation
- The presenters will address the questions from the speaker cards after the presentation
- There will be an opportunity to make verbal comments towards the end of the meeting
- The meeting should conclude by 9:30 pm
City Letter to High Speed Rail ProjectThe input received from the community will be considered for a comment letter to be sent by the City of San Carlos to the High Speed Rail project regarding their Alternatives Analysis report. These comments will also be used as the High Speed Rail project staff continues their work on the project Draft Environmental Impact Report, 15% Design and Right of Way determination which are due out this summer.
The draft comment letter will be drafted by City Staff and considered by the City Council. This is tentatively scheduled for the Council meeting on May 10, 2010.
