| |  DepartmentsVibration Testing Scheduled in San Carlos - April 28, 2010
The Peninsula Rail Project, a partnership between the California High Speed Rail Authority and CalTrain, will be conducting vibration testing in San Carlos.
The testing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 28, 2010 between 8 pm and 4 am at an open site located on the east side of El Camino Real just north of Holly Street in San Carlos.
The testing team will be using a small power generator which is going to be located at the bottom of the embankment and two small air blowers, using equipment similar to that in the photographs below.
Because the equipment will be located on the opposite side of the existing embankment from Old County Road, nearby residents should experience little vibration or noise during the tests.
