Economic Development Advisory Commission (EDAC) Approved Meeting Minutes of March 05, 2008
The meeting was called to order by Chair Scot Marsters at 4:05 p.m. Roll Call Commissioners present:

1. Review of EDAC February 6, 2008 Meeting Minutes
Action: Unanimously approved of EDAC February 6, 2008 Meeting Minutes 2. Election of New Officers
Mr. Sawicki suggested that minutes be taken in the form of “action minutes” similar to the format used by City Council and Planning Commission and offered to provide a template for the Secretary. Action: Motion/Second Lockenmeyer/Schuette moved to elect Scot Marsters as Chair Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote M/S Green/Barton Barba moved to elect Gary Wiessinger as Vice Chair Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote M/S Weissinger/Barton Barba moved that Secretary position follow a monthly rotation starting with Mark Green, and proceeding in reverse alphabetical order of last names. Vote: Motion carried by unanimous roll vote
3. City Budget Update Presentation provided by City Manager, Mark Weiss
Following the presentation, EDAC discussed its role in advising as to appropriate and acceptable economic development in the City and what long term budget impact can be expected from economic development 4. Economic development update provided by Mark Sawicki
Mr. Sawicki provided 3rd Quarter Sales Tax Report prepared by City consultant, HdL. 5. Provided with an update on GPAC by Scot Marsters
6. Provided with an update on Economic Development Partnership by Gary Wiessinger
Action: Motion carried unanimously approved to not fold Economic Development Partnership into EDAC, but continue supporting it as an independent action committee 7. Discussed City of San Carlos marketing strategy and program
8. Consideration of future agenda items
Agreed that Mr. Sawicki will present East Side Development Booklet in EDAC’s April 2008 Meeting Public Comment There was no public comment.
