Approved Minutes

I. Meeting Called to Order

The meeting was called to order by Chair Shugart at 6:00 PM.

II. Consent Items

M/S Higgins/Shugart to approve the minutes for the June 2, 2008 meeting.Motion passed 3-0.

III. Public Comment- None

IV. New Items

Review of two proposed new 2,980 square foot three story residences located at 70 Fay Avenue (APN 049-133-530).

Principal Planner Lisa Costa Sanders presented the item.

Mark Robertson, Architect, stated that the applicant currently owns the property at 70 Fay and 68 Fay and they will construct a new entry for the residence at 68 Fay.

Committee members expressed concern with the proposed color of the new residence and requested a darker color to better match the stone with earthier tones.

Committee member McClure asked about the setback from the creek.Mr. Robertson confirmed that all improvements will maintain the 25’ creek setback requirement.

M/S McClure/Higgins to approve Code Compliance Certificate to allow the construction of a new residence with the additional condition that a revised landscape plan be submitted to show all improvements completely within 70 Fay and exterior colors to be dark earth tone to blend with stone and roof.Motion passed 3-0.

Committee member Shugart advised of the 10-day appeal period.

V. Reports & General Correspondence– Lisa Costa Sanders noted the Committee member received the draft process modifications for residential design review and that staff has scheduled an open house with local designers and Architect to discuss further on June 30.
