Upgrading design standards for ACC

Staff liaison Kertel reported that a real estate stager would be coming to do a walk through of the ACC on May 13th and invited all members to attend. The services were donated by local realtor Judy Litter.

ACC Facility Use Focus Groups-RFP

The RFP was put out and responses are due Wednesday May 14th. Board members discussed the need for a focus group and expressed interest in saving the money and putting the money toward programs or facility modifications and get the ball rolling.

6.  New Business

Marketing- review current tools for content and effectiveness.

The board reviewed our current brochure pages, our monthly newsletter, and Web page. They commented that the brochure pages are much better than in the past, but thought there should be a big promo for adults perhaps a 2 sided brochure model. They also felt we should add a parent management section. The board also reviewed our current newsletter. They commented that it was very informative and that we should keep it, but felt it went to a select group and that we should see about putting it in doctor’s offices and local businesses. The final piece of marketing they looked at was our web page. All board members felt it was not being utilized and a marketing campaign educating the public on how to access it would increase traffic to the site.

7.  Board Reports
