Suicide and Crisis Lifeline
988 is the new number for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. You can call or text 988, or web chat a trained counselor at 988lifeline.org/chat for free, 24/7 confidential support. Please note that the previous National Suicide Prevention Line (1-800-273-8255) will still continue to function and will always remain available to people in emotional or suicidal distress.
