The Arts and Culture Commission now has one (1) vacant seat due to the expired term of one commissioner. If you are a resident of the City of San Carlos and interested in serving on this committee, applications are being accepted at this time.

Meeting Role and Schedule
The Commission meets at least quarterly on the fourth Tuesday of the months of February, May, August and November at 5:30 P.M., City Hall, Room 207, 2nd floor, 600 Elm Street, San Carlos. The functions of the San Carlos Arts and Culture Commission include the following powers and duties:
    
  •   To advise the City Council on all matters affecting the historical, artistic and    
  scientific affairs of San Carlos
  •  To establish a liaison between the City and historical, cultural, artistic and scientific groups
  •  To review all activities in the community that relate to history, arts and science
  •  To promote historical, artistic and scientific activities of the San Carlos area
  •  To serve in an advisory capacity to groups in the fields of history, arts and science

Please download and complete the application form below. If you would like to have it mailed to you, please call  the City Clerk’s Office at (650) 802-4222. Applications are also available for pick-up at the City Clerk’s office, City Hall, 600 Elm Street, Second Floor, San Carlos.

Application Deadline
Deadline for receipt of applications in the City Clerk’s Office is August 17th at 5:00 P.M. Interviews have tentatively been scheduled with the City Council on the evening of Monday, August 27th.
