The steering committee has established the following goals for the planning process:

Community Consensus

Engage, inform, and excite the community throughout the process to create community consensus and support.Input from community members who do not use the facilities and services and current users will be specifically sought.

Community Priorities

Develop community priorities that will ensure that the outcomes of the project will benefit the entire community.

Engage Potential Partners and Funders

Engage potential partners who can assist with the development and implementation of the plan. This should include those who can assist with specific activities, e.g. grant writing.

Create a Sustainable Plan

Identify priorities, with consideration for the maintenance, operational and financial impact of the priorities included within the plan. In this way, ensure all priorities are achievable and realistic.
