The City of San Carlos enjoys a reputation of being one of the safest cities to live and work in the Bay Area. The City Council has consistently made public safety a top priority and has supported a wide variety of very effective police programs and services. In addition to working closely with the community, the Police Department works very closely with other city departments to help build and maintain a safe community. Community safety is just one of the many reasons that San Carlos is such a desirable location to live and work.

Successful crime prevention and crime suppression strategies coupled with effective community outreach efforts are the focus of our department. We approach these responsibilities by working hard to design internal management practices that bring out the best in our officers and staff.
