The San Carlos Police Department is committed to keeping the community safe and parents informed about sexual offenders in the community. Public disclosure on sex offenders can be located at the California Attorney General's website http://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/index.htm.

Megan's Law makes available to adults and organizations information on "serious" and "high-risk" sex offenders in California. The information on a registered sex offender includes:

• name and known aliases;
• age and sex;
• physical description, including scars, marks and tattoos;
• photograph, if available;
• crimes resulting in registration;
• county of residence;
• address of residence.
