Please click here to go to the new location.GovernmentNext StepsThrough this Peninsula Corridor Study, consensus was achieved regarding the desirability of creating new mixed use development in the areas proximate to the train station, including commercial, residential, and retail uses, one of which being a new SamTrans administration facility; making additional appropriate traffic calming and roadway changes to El Camino Real; and increasing the variety and location of public spaces throughout the downtown.
The work that will take place in the next phase of this study will focus on identifying the best location for these new mixed uses, the redesign of El Camino to support future and existing land uses, and achieving consensus on building heights, massing, and density that also complement a village scale and feel.
