Our outstanding staff of caring, dedicated, enthusiastic professionals provides a warm environment in which to play, grow and learn. The program is designed to encourage exploration and creativity in a fun, stimulating atmosphere through art, music, social play, crafts, story telling, movement, outdoor play, special events and holiday programs. .
Bright Beginnings Pre-School (Ages 3-4) | Through play, we learn colors, shapes, eye-hand coordination and motor skills. We introduce and emphasize counting, numbers and the alphabet as part of the pre-school learning curriculum. Children must be 3 years old by the first day of the session and toilet-trained, no exceptions. Classes are held at: Burton Park, Youth Center, 1001 Chestnut Street, San Carlos - Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00am-12:00pm

| | Laureola Cottage Kids Pre-Kindergarten (Ages 4-5) | This class is the 'next step' for pre-schoolers entering Kindergarten. Your child will learn decision making and problem solving skills, enhancing his/her own self-esteem and independence. Our hands-on curriculum will help prepare your child for Kindergarten and the ongoing, life-long learning process. Children must be 4 years old by the first day of the session and toilet-trained, no exceptions. Classes are held at: Laureola Park, 503 Old County Road, San Carlos - Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00am-12:00pm

| | Creative Art Class (Ages 3-5) Students will explore, create and connect in this exciting class that develops and encourages self-expression and confidence through visual arts. Budding Picasso's will foster their imagination and generate their creativity by dabbling in various mediums from clay, to language arts and storytelling. Children must be 3 years old by the first day of the session and toilet-trained, no exceptions. Classes are held at: Laureola Park, 503 Old County Road, San Carlos - Fridays, 9:00am-12:00pm

Registration Information Smart Tots has 3 sessions each year: Fall, Winter, & Spring
Payment is made prior to each session. School Year Registration: - Enrollment for the school year begins in May.
- Currently enrolled families will have priority registration.
- $50 non-refundable deposit will hold a spot for the next school year.
- Deposit payments must be made at the Recreation office on 600 Elm Street, 2nd Floor, Parks & Recreation Admin office.
- Deposits are applied to the Fall session payment.
- Fall session begins late August.
Registration is taken on a first come, first served basis until filled. Waitlists are maintained for those not securing a spot. Program Visits New families are invited to observe the program.
