Our Program Staff

Freya Eastman-Sylvester has been with the Smart Tot Pre-School Pre-Kindergarten class for 4-5 year olds since 2001. She attended Cañada College and Notre Dame de Namur University and holds a degree in Child Development, an Early Childhood Education certificate, and a Master Teacher credential. In her free time, she enjoys reading, surfing, and spending time with her family.

Annette Schmidt has been the lead instructor for the Smart Tots program for 3-4 year olds since 1986. In addition to attending Canada College in the Early Childhood Education Program, she has over 20 years of experience in San Carlos Parks & Recreation’s Special Needs Program, as well as the Wee Woods and Burton Adventure Camp summer programs. Annette enjoys spending time with her daughter, visiting Yosemite, reading, and collecting dolls.
