Program Description

The Museum of San Carlos History is co-sponsored by The San Carlos Villagers, non-profit organization and the City of San Carlos. The museum docent program runs through The San Carlos Villagers. The museum is open to the general public every Saturday of each month (except December) from 1:00-4:00 pm and during Hometown Days, Heritage Walks and Art & Wine Faire.


Program Hours

Saturdays 1:00-4:00PM (except during December), and special tours by arrangement calling (650) 802-4354.


Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
  • Greet Visitors and Answer Questions and Provide Docent Tours

Qualifications

  • Must be a San Carlos resident for 2 years.
  • Must be a member of The Villagers ($7.50 annual membership fee).

Time Commitment

Must be willing to work in the museum, two times/year.


Training Provided

Job orientation and training will be provided by organization.


Directions

The San Carlos Historical Museum is located at 533 Laurel Street, next to the Fire Station.

From 101 South: Take Holly Street exit; cross over 101; proceed to El Camino & turn south on El Camino; make an immediate right onto San Carlos Avenue; turn right on Laurel Street; Museum is on the right hand side of the road.

From 101 North: Take Holly Street exit; turn right; proceed to El Camino for 1 block and turn right. Turn right on San Carlos Avenue, turn right on Laurel Street.
