The administration of Public Works is responsible for the overall management and direction of Engineering and General Services.  All costs associated with this function are allocated to Engineering and General Services.

Engineering is responsible for design, preparation of plans, construction documents, construction, and contract administration of the City's Capital Improvement Program and seeking and securing outside funding for the eligible projects.  Other responsibilities include the following:

  • Review, plan check and perform construction inspection of all subdivision improvements
  • Review and approve grading plans and grading inspections of all developments
  • Plan check and construction inspection of all proposed private and utility companies' work within the public right-of-way

Under the direction of the Public Works Director, administration and engineering is staffed with a Senior Engineer, a Civil Engineering Assistant, a Public Works Inspector and an Administrative Assistant.



Quality Assurance Program (QAP)
