Five Stop Sign Requests Considered, Three Recommended for Approval

In response to citizen requests, the City of San Carlos recently obtained a traffic engineering report, which evaluated the need for all-way stop signs at five intersections: 

  •  Phelps Road/Arundel Road.  All-Way Stop Recommended.
  •  Clifton Avenue/Wellington Drive. All-Way Stop Recommended.
  •  Cordilleras Avenue/Elizabeth Street. All Way Stop Not recommended.  However, crosswalk enhancements are recommended.
  •  Cherry Street/Laurel Street. All-Way Stop Recommended. 
  •  Morse Boulevard/Laurel Street. All Way Stop Not recommended.

    The Transportation and Circulation Commission will be considering the traffic engineering report at their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on May 17, 2011 at the City Council Chambers, 600 Elm Street.
