San Carlos Hometown Days: May 16-18, 2008 The 2008 edition of San Carlos Hometown Days: Homespun Fun at Hometown Days will be held on May 16-17-18 this year at Burton Park. This is a uniquely San Carlos tradition that features a parade on Saturday, May 17th as well as entertainment and fun for the entire family.

City Hall Closed - Due to Soft Furlough [12/25/2006 Recurring] City Hall will be closed for the week of December 25, reopening again on January 2nd. Specific public service departments/sites that will be closed include:
Building & Inspections
City Clerk & Passports
Community Development
Planning
Parks and Recreation Programs (including all Senior, Youth and Sports activities)
Public Works & Engineering
Administrative Services
Police, Fire, Emergency Storm, Sewer Services and Road Repair will continue to be available during this week even though the Police Department and Public Works administrative offices will be closed.

Adult Community Center is closed last week of December [12/25/2006 Recurring] During the Christmas and New Years Day holiday period, the City of San Carlos will close City Hall, the Adult Community Center, the Youth Center, and the Laureola Park Activity Building, as well as suspend most City services and activities except for emergency services (Police, Fire, Sewer and Road Repair). This reduction in service will be effective fromDecember 25th - January 1st.
This step will help deal with the City's current General Fund budget deficit.
Specific public service departments/sites that will be closed include:

Community Development
Planning
Parks and Recreation Programs (including all Senior, Youth and Sports activities)
Public Works & Engineering
Administrative ServicesPolice, Fire, Emergency Storm, Sewer Services and Road Repair will continue to be available during this week even though the Police Department and Public Works administrative offices will be closed.
