Wheeler Plaza Site AreaDescription of Project
The San Carlos Redevelopment Agency is looking to redevelop an approximately 2.65 acre site owned by the City and agency that is located one block west of El Camino Real and immediately southwest of the intersection of San Carlos Avenue and Laurel Street. The Site is located directly behind prime retail frontage along Laurel Street and includes frontage on San Carlos Avenue.

The City owns the surface parking and Redevelopment Agency owns four parcels adjacent to Wheeler Plaza - two retail buildings along San Carlos Avenue one retail building fronting Laurel (formerly Foodville Market) and a 6 unit rental housing on Walnut Street. These properties are all part of the Wheeler Plaza Redevelopment process.

The San Carlos Planning Commission will hold a study session for the purpose of hearing and considering all comments of all persons interested in or concerned with consideration of the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Wheeler Development Project. Wheeler Plaza Draft Environmental Impact Report:

The City of San Carlos released the Wheeler Plaza Redevelopment Project Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) on November 23, 2011.

The Draft EIR will be available for public review and comment for a period of 60 days. Written comments may be submitted to:
