Request for Proposals: Downtown Lighting Program

The City of San Carlos is seeking proposals from qualified vendors experienced in installation of tree and cross-street lighting in a downtown setting, as well as additional holiday lighting on light poles and tall trees.
The selected vendor will be responsible for: The installation and quarterly maintenance of year round light swags across Laurel Street on the 600, 700 and 800 blocks; the installation and maintenance of year-round light strands on City-owned trees on the 1100 & 1200 blocks of San Carlos Avenue and the 600, 700 & 800 blocks of Laurel Street; and the installation and maintenance of light strands on an oak tree behind City Hall.
Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for the temporary December holiday specialty lighting of: mini lights and large red bows on the 48 poles on the 600, 700, and 800 blocks of Laurel Street; “chaser” lights at the four corners of Cherry Street and Laurel Street; decorative lights on trees in Frank D. Harrington Park; and multi-color LED lights around the 115’ tall redwood tree in City Hall Park.
It is the Proposing Firm’s responsibility to read the entire RFP and to comply with all requirements.
