Disposable Food Ware

637574692425300000The San Carlos City Council adopted an ordinance in October, 2021 that limits the distribution of single-use plastic foodware in an effort to reduce the impacts of plastic waste on our streets, storm drains, waterways, and our health. By adopting this regulation, the City of San Carlos joins a growing number of jurisdictions in San Mateo County that are prioritizing the reduction of single-use plastics and other foodware waste through a unified approach.

Facilities such as restaurants, grocery stores, food trucks, or any other facility that provides prepared food or beverages to the public within San Carlos are required to follow the new regulations.
